Guidelines for Parents

The school diary serves as a critical link between home and school. It must be brought to school every day. Parents should check and sign any notes sent home daily.

The school diary is primarily for recording assignments and passing messages to parents. Ensure your child follows all instructions provided.

Parents are advised not to request early leave for their children to avoid discrepancies in attendance. In exceptional cases, a gate pass can be collected with a letter duly signed by the Principal..

Parents are required to collect the bill from the school office within two days after making an online payment, ensuring the correct student name is entered to avoid inclusion in the defaulter’s list.

A leave letter, signed by the parent, is mandatory for any absence. In case of illness, a medical certificate is required for absences exceeding three days. Students suffering from infectious diseases will not be permitted to attend class.

For long absences or leave during tests and exams, permission must be obtained in advance from the Principal.

Attendance on the reopening day of each term is mandatory. A minimum of **90% attendance* is required for promotion to the next class.

Students who maintain 100% attendance will be awarded a badge to wear throughout the year as a motivation to attend school regularly.

Parents can meet the class teacher and subject teachers between 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm on Saturdays (working days) to discuss their child’s performance.

Students will be sent home only with parents or a designated person who has been authorized via a written letter.

Parents should not directly enter classrooms during school hours. In case of emergencies, a written request must be obtained from the school office to Collect the child easily from school.

Parents are requested not to confront or handle other students. All disputes should be reported to the school authorities.

Children must be instructed not to speak to strangers or leave the premises with unknown persons.

Any change in residential address, phone number, or designated pickup person must be promptly updated with the school.

Bullying, use of abusive language, and physical violence will lead to immediate suspension or dismissal from the school.

Rejoining school late after vacations or absenteeism during terms is not allowed.

Parents are expected to support the school in matters of academics, co-curricular activities, and discipline.

Parents should encourage their children to complete daily homework, assignments, and record work.

Parents are expected to participate in all PTA meetings and ‘Open Days’ to stay updated on their child’s progress.

Parents should maintain a decent dress code while in the school premises, Kindly avoid nightwear or shorts.

Parents should provide their children with a balanced diet and avoid junk food. The lunch should match the child's nutritional needs.

Students are not allowed to wear expensive jewelry, wristwatches, or bring valuables to school. Any such items brought will be confiscated.

Mobile phones, gadgets, and vehicles (two/four wheelers) are strictly prohibited on school grounds.

Parents should avoid giving gifts, cakes, or tips to staff.

Teachers at MPS are not allowed to tutor students from the school. Parents are encouraged to use the free remedial classes offered for students who need extra support.

Regular health checkups and Body Mass Index (BMI) screenings will be conducted at the school. Parents are urged to ensure their child attends these sessions.

Requests for Transfer Certificates must be submitted by **15th February*. Failure to do so may result in the collection of Term I fees for the next academic year.
