Guidelines

At Mangadu Public School, we believe that discipline, responsibility, and decorum are fundamental to create a conducive learning environment. The following guidelines ensure that students maintain a high standard of conduct, respect the school’s ethos, and maximize their learning potential.

Uniform Policy:

Students are required to wear the school uniform on all working days as part of our commitment to fostering a sense of equality and discipline. There are specific uniforms for different days and occasions:

  • Regular Days:The standard school uniform must be worn by all students.
  • On Mondays white uniform and on Wednesdays sports uniform should be worn.
  • Special Occasions: For events such as assemblies, school celebrations, and academic events, the prescribed uniform must be followed. Students not adhering to the uniform policy may be subject to disciplinary actions unless prior permission has been obtained.

Attendance and Leave Policy:

Attendance is mandatory on all working days, as regular participation in school activities is essential for the holistic development of students. Any absence must be justified through the following procedures:

  • Short Leave:For short-term leave, students must submit a leave application to the class teacher before the leave is taken.
  • Extended Leave:For long-term absences, students are required to provide a medical certificate or a valid reason. Parents or guardians should notify the Principal in advance for approval.
  • Compulsory Attendance: Attendance during examinations, assessments, and special school functions is strictly mandatory, and absence without prior approval may result in disciplinary actions or academic penalties.

Discipline and Decorum:

Mangadu Public School maintains high standards of discipline, both inside and outside the classroom. Students are expected to:

  • Exhibit respectful behavior towards teachers, staff, and fellow students.
  • Uphold the school’s values of integrity, punctuality, and responsibility.
  • Maintain decorum in the school campus, ensuring that the environment remains condusive to learning.
  • Avoid any behavior that disrupts the learning process, including the use of mobile phones or other unauthorized electronic devices during school hours.

Examination and Assessment:

All periodic tests and examinations are crucial for assessing student progress, and students are expected to participate in all assessments diligently.

  • Preparation and Conduct: Students should be well-prepared for each exam and ensure that they conduct themselves honestly and ethically during assessments.
  • Evaluation: Regular assessments, periodic tests, and final exams are equally important and contribute to the overall academic record. Parents are urged to monitor their child's academic performance and ensure they are well-prepared for all examinations.
  • Re-Examination Policy: In the event of an absence during an exam, the student may be required to take a re-exam provided there is a legitimate reason, supported by a medical certificate or prior approval from the Principal.

Individuality and Unity

At MPS, we strive to strike a balance between nurturing individuality and promoting teamwork. We teach students to respect their unique abilities while working collaboratively with their peers. Through this, we aim to develop well-rounded individuals capable of thriving in a dynamic society while upholding a cooperative spirit.

Punctuality and Responsibility

Students are expected to arrive at school on time and be ready for all classes and activities. Lateness disrupts the flow of the school day and may result in consequences such as detention or loss of privileges. Students are encouraged to take personal responsibility for their studies, assignments, and extracurricular participation, ensuring they develop into self-disciplined and responsible individuals.

Emphasis on Sports

In line with CBSE’s holistic development approach, Mangadu Public School places great emphasis on physical education. Participation in sports is considered essential for fostering teamwork, discipline, and physical well-being. Students are encouraged to actively take part in the various sporting opportunities provided by the school, including inter-house and intra-school competitions. Regular participation in sports not only strengthens the body but also teaches valuable life skills such as resilience, leadership, and discipline.
